Wear on static partner |
We can measure the coefficient of friction without wear, i.e. without damaging the surface; even for non-conventional and non-ideal shapes.
We also offer two basic wear & friction test configurations:
The pin-on-disk technique creates a circular wear track by spinning the sample. With the linear reciprocating technique, the sample is moved back and forth to create a wear track in the shape of a straight line. Linear Reciprocating Pin-on-Disk
The test parameters are the load, the distance travelled, the speed and the static partner. Test outputs include the wear rate (sample and static partner), the friction versus time or distance travelled as well as pictures and cross-sections of the wear track.
